BICESTER MAN JAILED FOR SEXUALLY ABUSING TEENAGE GIRL AFTER GIVING DRUGS

The police photograph of a man jailed for sexually abusing a teen girl after giving her drugs has been released. Stuart Crawford, aged 42, from Market End Way in Bicester, was found guilty after a trial at Oxford Crown Court in August of three counts – three counts of sexual activity with a child and offering to supply a Class A drug, namely cocaine. He assaulted a 14-year-old girl on October 22, 2022, outside The Ashton Club in Sheep Street after she had asked if he had drugs. Following his sentencing, his police photograph was made public along with a statement from Detective Constable Gareth Steward, who stated: “The victim in this case has shown incredible strength and resilience to come forward and report the abuse and I would like to thank her for her patience whilst awaiting justice. I am pleased that a custodial sentence has been imposed against this perpetrator reflecting the abhorrent offences he committed against a child. I would like to reassure the public that we will always look to prosecute anyone who commits sexual offences against children, recent or non-recent.
