February 2018 Pervert hoarded more than 100 indecent images of children The chairman of Chelmsford Rugby Football Club has spoken of his shock after a former publicity officer for the club pleaded guilty to harbouring more than 100 indecent images of children. Stuart Bolton, 67, was arrested on June 10 last year at his home on Cornwallis Drive, South Woodham Ferrers, after a warrant was executed by Essex Police. His computer was seized and analysed and 158 images were discovered. Of those, 40 were branded category A images, the most serious kind. Bolton, who acted as publicity officer for the club until he stepped down in summer 2017 and was a long-term member of the fundraising committee, pleaded guilty to three counts of possessing indecent images yesterday (Friday, February 2) at Chelmsford Magistrates’ Court. Bolton never worked with children during his time at the club. His membership has since been revoked. Bolton has been released on bail and will be sentenced on March 2 at Chelmsford Crown Court.
