HIGHLAND MAN PLACED ON SEX OFFENDER’S REGISTER AFTER SEXUAL ASSAULT
A man known as Stuart Bissett has been convicted for attempting to sexually assault a visitor in his Highland residence and subsequently touching her inappropriately after her rejection.The incident occurred on May 2 in Moss-Side Brae, Nairn, where Bissett reportedly begged the woman for "just one" kiss before making unwanted physical advances, including touching her hips, groin, and buttock.
Despite her protests and clear refusal, Bissett persisted until she left and later contacted him via text.
He responded with an apology, saying, "I'm sorry, it won't happen again." When questioned by police, Bissett admitted to his inappropriate behavior, expressing regret with the statements, "I know it was inappropriate.
I am sorry for what I have done." He was previously found guilty of sexual assault and has now been placed on the sex offender’s register for five years.
Bissett has been fined £300 as part of his sentencing.
