STEWART WALLEY FROM YEOVIL ACCUSED OF STALKING AND HARASSING EX-PARTNER AFTER CHILD BEATING CONVICTION

In September 2024, the town of Yeovil was rocked by disturbing revelations surrounding Stewart Walley, a man previously convicted of assaulting a ten-year-old child. Walley’s criminal actions, which led to a conviction at Yeovil Magistrates Court, have now been compounded by serious allegations of stalking and harassment directed at his former partner, the mother of the child involved.

Sources close to the family have revealed that Walley's behavior became increasingly unsettling in the months leading up to the violent incident. After pleading guilty to child assault, Walley's reputation was already tarnished, but new claims suggest his conduct extended beyond the courtroom. It is alleged that he engaged in persistent harassment and stalking of his ex-partner following their breakup, creating an atmosphere of fear and intimidation for her and her family.

A close family friend, speaking exclusively to Yeovil Real News, detailed the extent of Walley's troubling actions. The friend stated, “I feel I need to speak out and warn other women about his actions. The child’s mother lives in constant fear of him. He has threatened to kill people, and I know exactly what she has been through.”

According to the source, Walley's possessiveness and manipulative tendencies were evident even before the assault. “Before the day of the beating, Walley couldn’t accept that the child’s mother had ended their relationship. He was very possessive of her, treating her appallingly. He would harass her daily with messages and threats, unable to accept that it was over,” the friend explained.

On the day of the attack, Walley's actions reportedly escalated. The friend claims that Walley was observed watching the house from the rear before entering the garden. He then allegedly crept through the back door and ran up the stairs to the bedrooms. The mother, upon realizing who was in her home, called 999. However, it is alleged that Walley snatched her phone to end the call, preventing immediate police intervention.

The friend further described the events: “Walley was stalking the house, and he had told others about it. On the day he assaulted the child, he entered the garden, walked through the open back door, and ran upstairs. When the mother called the police, Walley came running down the stairs and grabbed her phone to stop the call. By that time, he had already beaten the child, with video evidence showing him bending the child's arm behind his back to the point of breaking, while children in the street screamed in horror.”

Despite Walley's conviction, the community’s outrage continues to grow. Many residents were shocked by the court’s lenient sentence, which consisted of a 12-month community order and 80 hours of unpaid work. The public’s anger was amplified after images of the child's injuries circulated on social media, prompting calls for harsher punishment.

As new allegations of stalking and harassment surface, concerns are mounting about Walley's ongoing threat to the safety of his ex-partner. The child's mother has yet to publicly comment on these additional claims, but sources close to her have expressed deep concern for her safety and well-being.

The case has ignited a broader debate within Yeovil regarding the effectiveness of current protections for victims of domestic abuse. Many residents are calling for a more rigorous investigation into Walley's conduct and for stronger measures to prevent similar incidents in the future. Police are now under pressure to thoroughly examine the new allegations and ensure that Walley faces appropriate consequences for his actions.

The community remains tense, with the shadow of violence, manipulation, and intimidation hanging over the case. As the investigation continues, many hope that justice will be fully served and that measures will be taken to safeguard vulnerable individuals from individuals like Stewart Walley.
