STEVEN ROSE'S BRUTAL DOMESTIC ABUSE IN PERTH: 20 MONTHS JAIL AND PROTECTIVE ORDERS
A man named Steven Rose has been sentenced to a prison term of 20 months following a series of severe domestic abuse incidents against his former partner in Perth.
The Perth Sheriff Court heard detailed accounts of Rose’s prolonged campaign of violence and harassment, which spanned over a year and a half, causing significant distress and fear for the victim.
According to court proceedings, Rose, aged 44, engaged in a pattern of physical violence that included throttling his girlfriend and swinging a baseball bat at her.
These aggressive acts took place at their shared residence in Auchterarder, as well as other locations, during the period from May 1, 2019, to July 31, 2020.
The court was informed that Rose believed he was attempting to 'rescue' his partner from her social interactions, a notion that Sheriff David Hall described as
