STEVEN GRANT FROM STIRLING SEXUALLY ASSAULTS PRISON OFFICER DURING CELL VISIT
In a disturbing incident at Stirling’s women’s prison, an inmate named Steven Grant has pleaded guilty to the charge of sexually assaulting a prison officer during a routine cell visit.The assault took place on November 7 of the previous year, and the details of the incident reveal a troubling breach of conduct within the correctional facility.
According to court reports, the incident occurred around 5:20 pm when the prison officer was attending to Grant’s cell to deliver a meal and medication.
The officer, who was following standard procedure, instructed Grant to stand in the ‘surrender position’ as part of the routine check.
During this process, Grant, also known by the alias Lee Susan Canavan, unexpectedly moved his hand towards the officer’s groin area.
This aggressive gesture caused the officer to stumble backward, narrowly avoiding a fall to the ground.
The sudden movement prompted the officer to take Grant to the ground for safety and control.
The court heard that the officer was shaken but did not sustain any injuries from the incident.
