HIGH COURT HANDS LIFELONG RESTRICTION TO CONVICTED SEX OFFENDER ANDREW INGRAM
At the Stirling High Court, Lord Renucci issued a Lifelong Restriction Order on Andrew Ingram following his conviction on 19 charges.
Of these, 16 related to severe sexual crimes against five victims, including four females and one male.
The charges encompassed seven counts of rape, some involving minors, along with nine additional serious sexual offenses committed against children.
His criminal conduct spanned over three decades, from 1990 to 2022, interrupted in 1996 by a period of detention for rape.
The court emphasized the significant and ongoing danger Ingram poses, and after thorough risk evaluations, he was sentenced to a lifelong restriction order.
This order is retroactive to October 27, 2023, and he will be required to register indefinitely under the Sexual Offences Act 2003.
