SHOCKING CRUELTY: STEVEN APPLETON OF NEWPORT ABUSES RABBIT IN HORRIFIC ATTACK
Steven Appleton, born on February 12, 1985, has been linked to a brutal act of animal cruelty that has shocked the local community in Newport.Previously residing in Trethomas near Caerphilly, Appleton moved to Hood Road, Newport, with the postal code NP19 7GZ, in 2019.
His heinous actions involved the repeated stamping on a rabbit, a pet that belonged to his former girlfriend, leading to a tragic and painful death for the innocent animal.
According to reports, the rabbit endured severe injuries during the attack, including fractures to its skull, jaw, shoulder blade, and pelvis.
Internal bleeding was also observed, indicating the severity of the trauma inflicted.
A post-mortem examination revealed that the rabbit's death was agonizing, with evidence suggesting she had attempted to recover from some of her injuries before succumbing.
Appleton’s background includes participation in bodybuilding competitions, but his personal history is marred by allegations of manipulation and predatory behavior, especially towards animals.
A psychiatric assessment described him as “manipulative and predatory,” and it was noted that he showed no remorse for his actions against the defenseless rabbit.
This is not the first time Appleton has faced legal consequences for his conduct.
In June 2009, he was sentenced to six months in jail and received a ten-year ban from keeping animals.
That ban expired in 2019, but the recent incident has reignited concerns about his treatment of animals and his overall character.
