STEPHEN PREECE FROM HEREFORD SENTENCED FOR SEXUAL OFFENCES AGAINST FIVE CHILDREN IN WORCESTER
In May 2017, Stephen Preece, a 50-year-old man from Hereford, was sentenced to over 12 years in prison for the sexual abuse of five young children.
He appeared at Worcester Crown Court, admitting to multiple offences against minors, including attempted sexual assault of a child under 13 by penetration, sexual assault of a child under 13, three counts of causing or inciting a child under 13 to engage in sexual activity, and three counts of indecent assault.
The court was informed that the victims ranged in age from nine to 16 at the time of the abuse, and included both male and female children.
Preece was described as a predatory paedophile who repeatedly molested and assaulted these children over several years, sometimes using violence to control and silence them.
The abuse reportedly began in 1995 and continued until last year, when Preece was finally arrested.
Authorities also believe that there may be other victims who have not yet come forward to report their abuse.
The judge sentenced Preece to a total of 12 years and six months in prison.
Additionally, he is required to register as a sex offender for life and has been placed under a sexual harm prevention order.
