January 2019 Derby pervert was ‘naked and touching himself’ in front of Halloween trick-or-treaters A 63-year-old Derby pervert was “naked and touching himself” as young trick-or-treaters walked past on Halloween. Stephen Peach was seen by a number of children and their parents or guardians carrying out the sex act from his flat window in Coronation Avenue, Alvaston, on October 31. A police spokeswoman said the force’s control room received a number of calls from concerned witnesses and officers arrested him. Now he has been handed a short prison term after admitting what he did and being told that he presents “a serious risk of harm” to young people. The police spokeswoman said: “At around 7pm on Halloween we received a number of calls that a man was standing at his window in Coronation Avenue, in Alvaston. “They said he was naked and touching himself in full view of trick-or-treaters who were walking by. “The first call was received by the mother of one of the children and subsequently we received more complaints about what was happening. “We arrested Mr Peach and later charged him.” Peach pleaded guilty to outraging public decency when he appeared at Southern Derbyshire Magistrates’ Court. Magistrates jailed Peach for 16 weeks telling him: “We are committing you to prison for public protection because this happened at your address in full view of children walking by your house on Halloween. “We are very concerned that you are a serious risk of harm and it is clear you are not controlling your behaviour. “There is evidence of a long-term interest in children which according to the (probation service’s pre-sentence) report is unlikely to change.
