STEPHEN GALLAGHER SENTENCED TO LIFE FOR BRUTAL MURDER OF FATHER IN CWMBRAN

In a tragic and disturbing case that has shocked the community of Cwmbran, Stephen Gallagher has been handed a life sentence after being found guilty of the brutal murder of his 76-year-old father, Thomas Gallagher. The incident took place on September 10, 2019, within the confines of their family home on Kidwelly Road, a quiet residential area in Cwmbran. The events leading up to the murder reportedly stemmed from a seemingly trivial argument over their broadband internet connection, which escalated into a violent assault that would forever alter the lives of those involved.

According to court records, Gallagher did not deny his involvement. He admitted to calling emergency services after the attack and confessed to the killing, ultimately pleading guilty during the court proceedings. The court was told that Gallagher launched a savage attack on his father, repeatedly stabbing him in what was described as an 'intense' assault.
