STEVE CARNELL FROM TONYPANDY JAILED FOR CHILD ABUSE IMAGES IN RYHONDDA
In a disturbing case that has shocked the community of Tonypandy and the wider Rhondda area, Stephen Carnell, a man well-known within local circles, has been sentenced to a three-year prison term after being found in possession of an extensive collection of the most serious child abuse images police have encountered.
The case was heard at Merthyr Tydfil Crown Court, where prosecutors detailed the horrifying extent of Carnell's illegal activities.
According to court reports, Carnell, aged 58 and a divorced father of two, was discovered with a staggering 12,130 indecent images, alongside material depicting sadism and acts of bestiality.
The images and videos were stored across five laptops and various storage devices at his residence, which police visited following an investigation.
