STANLEY JACKSON FROM NEWTONGRANGE AND BONNYRIGG JAILED FOR SEX OFFENSES AND PEEPING TERROR

In a disturbing case that has shocked the communities of Bonnyrigg and Newtongrange, Stanley Jackson, a 64-year-old man from Redwood Grove, Newtongrange, was sentenced to two years in prison after being found guilty of heinous sexual misconduct and voyeuristic acts. The High Court in Edinburgh heard harrowing details of Jackson's criminal behavior, which included invasive acts aimed at a teenage girl.

Jackson's criminal activities involved more than just inappropriate contact. He had taken extreme measures to spy on his young victim by drilling a hole in the ceiling of a bathroom, allowing him to observe her without her knowledge while she was in a state of undress. This act of voyeurism was complemented by his efforts to peer through a cupboard, further invading her privacy and causing significant distress.
