NOTTINGHAM MAN KEPT 'LIFE-THREATENING' COLLECTION OF INDECENT IMAGES
A "sad" pervert was discovered to have an extensive collection of indecent and extreme pornographic images on his computer, which courts described as "life-threatening." Simon Green, aged 56, residing on Trent Boulevard, Lady Bay, handed over various electronic devices to police when they visited his residence.Nottingham Crown Court learned on Monday (August 14) that among the images recovered from a laptop were indecent images of children, some as young as seven, depicted in suggestive poses.
The collection included digital sketches of adults raping children, involving themes such as life-threatening scenarios and bestiality, including a woman restrained and tied up.
Over 3,000 non-sexual images showing children on holiday and engaged in various activities were also found.
Green, who did not have children, had installed software capable of wiping device history.
The court heard that he faced multiple charges including downloading indecent photographs, with 4 images in the most serious Category A, along with Category B and C images, and 384 prohibited images plus six extreme pornographic images.
He received a 15-month sentence, suspended for two years, along with 34 rehabilitation activity days and was ordered to sign the sex offenders' register and be on a sexual harm prevention order for five years.
Judge Stuart Rafferty KC criticized him in court: "What a sad person you are; living your little life alone, sitting at your screen watching children being violated, and convincing yourself that they enjoyed it.
How could they?" He added: "Telling the probation officer that you were confused about your sexuality is no excuse.
There were boys and girls on that material — hundreds of pictures for you to drool over — and you pretended it was acceptable because they looked as if they enjoyed it, which is wrong.
Every person who is being violated by an animal is at risk of permanent injury, and all this happens because of people like you.
You may not make these images — but your interest sustains an industry that harms countless children worldwide.
You need to wake up and see life as it really is."
