LANCASHIRE OFFICER BANNED FROM POLICING AFTER ARREST FOR KIDNAPPING AND INDECENT IMAGES

A police officer identified as PC Sheraz Fatima-Ali, who served in East Division, has been disqualified from working in law enforcement after being arrested on suspicion of serious misconduct including false imprisonment and possession of indecent images. The officer was subjected to a bail condition prohibiting contact with the victim but violated this directive by engaging with them despite the warning. A misconduct hearing held at Lancashire Police's Headquarters in Preston determined that PC Fatima-Ali's actions constituted gross misconduct, breaching standards related to honesty, integrity, discreditable conduct, and obedience to orders. The Chief Constable, Chris Rowley, stated that had the officer not already resigned, dismissal would have been the outcome.

Subsequently, PC Fatima-Ali's details have been added to the College of Policing's Barred list, preventing him from employment within any police force.
