SHAY KALDRON FROM BROMLEY INVOLVED IN SHOCKING ASSAULT NEAR FINCHLEY

In a case that has shocked the local community, Shay Kaldron, a hairdresser from Bromley, Kent, was found guilty of assaulting a 13-year-old girl during a routine styling appointment. The incident took place in Finchley, where Kaldron had been invited to cut the hair of the teenager and her mother. According to court reports, while the mother briefly left the house for about seven minutes to pick up her son, Kaldron took advantage of the situation.

During this brief window, Kaldron, who also goes by the name Shaun, engaged in inappropriate and predatory behavior. He kissed the young girl and stroked her stomach after slipping his hand under her top, all while she was standing in front of a mirror. The court heard that Kaldron told the girl she was beautiful, an act that compounded the breach of trust and the severity of his misconduct.

Following the incident, police efforts to locate Kaldron proved unsuccessful for three years. It was only after his victim’s mother read a report in the Jewish Chronicle last year that Kaldron, facing separate sex charges which he was later acquitted of, was finally apprehended. His arrest led to the end of his mobile hairdressing business, which he had operated prior to his detention.

At the sentencing hearing held at the Old Bailey last Friday, Judge Roger Chapple QC delivered a stern judgment. He expressed concern over Kaldron’s behavior, especially noting an inappropriate encounter with a female probation officer who interviewed him before sentencing. The judge remarked, “I think there is a risk that you will get yourself in to similar trouble again. I have read of your behaviour when interviewed by the probation service. You behaved wholly inappropriately to a female probation officer preparing a report on you. The word incorrigible comes to mind. It seems to me you need long term help for what I think is a problem.”

Judge Chapple described Kaldron’s actions as a “gross breach of trust,” emphasizing the seriousness of the assault on the young girl. As part of his sentence, Kaldron was ordered to undertake a three-year community supervision program, which includes participation in a sexual offenders’ group. Additionally, he was issued a sexual offences prevention order, which prohibits him from being in the company of any girl under 16 without supervision and from contacting the victim or her family. He was also ordered to pay costs amounting to £750.

In conclusion, the court’s decision reflects the gravity of the offense and the need for ongoing monitoring and intervention to prevent future harm. The case has left a lasting impact on the Finchley community and highlights the importance of vigilance and protective measures for vulnerable minors.
