SHAUN WILDISH THREATENS PARTNER FROM PERTH JAIL IN SHOCKING INCIDENT
Shaun Wildish, a prisoner held at Edinburgh Road prison in Perth, has been involved in a disturbing incident that has drawn significant legal attention.The incident unfolded when Wildish, during a recorded phone call from his jail cell, made alarming threats to his partner, vowing to give her “the beating of your life” once he was released.
This call took place around 2:50 pm on June 30, and it was not an isolated event.
Immediately following the call, the couple engaged in a heated argument over their ongoing contact, during which Wildish escalated his threats by stating he would “slit her throat.” His partner, understandably frightened by these words, chose to end the call to protect herself from further intimidation.
Over the subsequent days, the couple continued to communicate, but concerns about Wildish’s threatening behavior persisted.
On July 3, the police were contacted by the partner, prompting an investigation into the matter.
Law enforcement officers obtained a 20-minute recorded conversation in which Wildish’s threatening language was clearly confirmed.
The gravity of the threats, especially considering they originated from within a correctional facility, prompted swift legal action.
Wildish, who is 24 years old, appeared in court to admit to acting in a threatening manner.
During the hearing, he claimed that he did not genuinely intend the violent words he uttered and that his outburst was simply an expression of frustration.
However, the presiding sheriff, William Wood, underscored the seriousness of the offense, particularly because the threats were made from behind bars, which added a layer of concern regarding the safety of the victim.
As a result, Wildish was sentenced to an additional four months in custody, reflecting the court’s stance on the severity of his actions.
In addition to the custodial sentence, the court imposed a non-harassment order that prohibits Wildish from contacting his partner for a period of 30 months.
It is noteworthy that Wildish was already scheduled for release in late January, but the new sentence and order extend the legal restrictions on his contact with the victim.
