SHAUN CARLAN FROM STEVENAGE PLEADS GUILTY TO CHILD PORNOGRAPHY OFFENSES IN ST ALBANS

In a serious case that has shocked the local community of Stevenage, Shaun Carlan, a 21-year-old resident of Douglas Drive, has admitted to multiple charges related to the possession and creation of indecent images and videos involving children. The charges were formally presented at Stevenage Magistrates’ Court on a recent Monday, where Carlan pleaded guilty to eight counts of producing indecent photographs of a child and two counts of possessing such images.

According to court records, Carlan was found to be in possession of a total of 51 indecent images of children, along with 21 videos depicting similar content. The images and videos were classified into different levels based on their severity and explicitness. Among the images, there was one classified as Level 5, which is considered the most serious category, indicating the most graphic and disturbing content. Additionally, he possessed five images classified as Level 4, seven as Level 2, and 38 as Level 1. The videos he had included 12 classified as Level 4, three as Level 3, four as Level 2, and two as Level 1.

The case has been scheduled for further proceedings at St Albans Crown Court, where Carlan is expected to face sentencing on January 30. The authorities have emphasized the gravity of the charges, which highlight the disturbing nature of the material involved and the potential harm to the victims depicted in these images and videos.
