SHANE MILLS FROM BRIDGEND JAILED FOR BREACHING SEXUAL HARM PREVENTION ORDER IN CARDIFF
In a recent development in Bridgend, Shane Mills, a 25-year-old known resident of the town, has been sentenced to a prison term of two years and eight months for violating the terms of his Sexual Harm Prevention Order (SHPO).Shane Mills’ breach of the order came to light when his designated Offender Manager grew suspicious that he might have been in possession of an undeclared mobile device, which could potentially be used to access the internet and communicate in ways that were restricted under his court-mandated conditions.
The suspicions of the Offender Manager were ultimately confirmed during a police warrant executed at Mills’ residence.
During the search, authorities uncovered a mobile phone that was directly linked to Mills, providing concrete evidence that he had violated the restrictions imposed by his SHPO.
Following these events, Mills appeared before Cardiff Crown Court last week, where he pleaded guilty to multiple charges.
The court found him guilty of two counts of breaching his Sexual Harm Prevention Order, as well as a count of breaching a previously imposed suspended sentence.
The judge subsequently sentenced him to a term of two years and eight months in prison, reflecting the seriousness of his violations and the importance of enforcing such orders to protect the community.
