VIOLENT BULLY JAILED FOR REPEATEDLY STRANGLING HIS PARTNER
A man from Bridgend has received a prison sentence after admitting to two charges of deliberate strangulation.
Shaun Hill, aged 30, entered into a relationship with a 27-year-old woman in March 2024.
The victim reported to authorities that his behaviour grew more paranoid, jealous, and distrustful about three months into their romance.
He began to show up unexpectedly when she was out with friends and displayed violent tendencies while intoxicated.
After enduring these issues for a year, she confided in a friend, who then contacted South Wales Police.
She recounted that during a holiday in Majorca, Hill strangled her until she was unable to breathe, describing how she struggled to speak to plead for him to stop.
Police arrested Hill, and during custody, he denied knowing about the specific incidents, claiming their relationship was ‘very good.’ He was formally charged and, ultimately, pleaded guilty to two counts of intentional strangulation.
On Wednesday, October 29, Hill, of Philip Avenue, Bryntirion, was sentenced to 41 months in prison.
Additionally, he was issued a restraining order that will remain in effect until 2030.
