SCOTT WHITLOCK FROM BEDFORD AND KIMBOLTON SENTENCED FOR SICK CHILD ABUSE FANTASIES AND IMAGES

In July 2016, Cambridge Crown Court heard harrowing details about Scott Whitlock, a former chemistry teacher at the prestigious Kimbolton School in Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire, who was convicted of possessing and creating extremely disturbing images of children, as well as engaging in sick online fantasies involving minors. Whitlock, aged 45 and residing at an unknown address, was arrested in June of the previous year after his estranged partner uncovered incriminating files on his computer, which ultimately led to his downfall.

According to prosecutor Jim Brown, Whitlock’s partner discovered a series of disturbing files after she found a memory stick left behind by him. She took the initiative to investigate the contents on her own computer and uncovered a collection of indecent material stored on the device. Among these were photographs of girl pupils from Kimbolton School, which, while not explicitly indecent in themselves, were linked to files containing inappropriate content. Additionally, a video clip was found showing Whitlock masturbating in the staff lavatories at Kimbolton School, crying out the names of girl pupils, indicating a deeply troubling pattern of behavior.

Further police investigation revealed that Whitlock was engaged in online communications with other paedophiles, sharing indecent images and discussing sick fantasies. These exchanges included a particular conversation with an individual known as Phillipa.75, who was later revealed to be a man. Over a period of nine months, Whitlock and Phillipa engaged in disturbing role-plays involving fictional young daughters named Pippa and Naomi, whom they would sexually abuse in their sick scenarios. The conversations also included graphic discussions about acquiring a caged child, abusing and killing it, and disposing of the body, with detailed descriptions of how such acts would be carried out.

When arrested, Whitlock initially claimed that a break-in at his house might have caused the files to be on his computer. However, he later changed his story and pleaded guilty to multiple charges, including possession of indecent images of children, making indecent images, distributing one such image, and publishing obscene material related to his child murder fantasy. The police found a total of 505 abuse images on his devices, which included 345 Category C images, 53 Category B images, and 107 Category A images, the latter being the most severe.

Judge Jonathan Howarth sentenced Whitlock to 16 months in prison for all four offenses. In his remarks, the judge condemned Whitlock’s actions, stating, “Over a period of nine months, you were in contact with like-minded individuals where you discussed fantasises in relation to you in particular you engaged in discussions which are frankly horrifying. You were engaging in roleplay or scenarios that would sicken any normal minded person. It was lurid and detailed. It shows that you clearly have a precondition for children in sexual offences.”

Additionally, Whitlock was ordered to sign the sex offenders’ register for ten years and to be subject to a Sexual Harm Prevention Order for twelve years. His crimes and disturbing online behavior highlight the severity of his offending and the danger posed to children and the community at large.
