SCOTT MCMINN FROM MADELEY ESCAPES JAIL AFTER POSSESSING CHILD AND ANIMAL INDECENT IMAGES IN TELFORD

In a case that has drawn significant attention, Scott McMinn, a resident of Park Street in Madeley, was brought before Shrewsbury Crown Court in November 2017 to face serious charges related to the possession and creation of indecent images involving children and animals. Despite the gravity of the allegations, McMinn was spared a custodial sentence and instead received a community order that will see him under supervision for the next three years.

The charges against McMinn included two counts of making indecent images of children, one count of possessing indecent images of a child, and another of possessing extreme pornographic images of animals. Prosecutor Howard Searle outlined the case, stating, “Police had information that this defendant was in possession of indecent images of children. He told the police he had stumbled on them and deleted them. Ultimately, McMinn, aged 44, was sentenced to a three-year community order, which includes strict supervision and conditions aimed at preventing further offenses. Additionally, he was issued a five-year sexual harm prevention order, restricting his activities and access to certain materials. As part of his sentence, McMinn was also required to sign the sex offenders register, ensuring ongoing monitoring of his conduct.
