April 2012 Quinton man jailed for sex attacks on schoolgirl A Quinton man has been jailed for four years after carrying out a string of sickening sex attacks on a schoolgirl. Scott Mann had denied inciting a 15-year-old girl to engage in sexual activity and two charges of sexual assault but was found guilty by a jury at the end of his trial. The court was told 38-year-old Mann had a previous conviction of a similar nature committed against a young girl in 2008. Judge Nicholas Webb said Mann had been assessed “rightly” as posing a high risk of serious harm to other young girls in the future and therefore a prison sentence had to be passed to “protect the public.” Mann, of Quinton Road West, was told by the Judge at Wolverhampton Crown Court he must stay on the Sex Offenders Register for an unlimited period as he extended his licence by a further four years. The Judge also made Mann the subject of a ten year Sexual Offenders Protection Order.
