SCOTT FAULKNER AND SHOCKING CRIMES IN AYRSHIRE

Disgust has erupted in Ayrshire as it was revealed that Scott Faulkner, a man with a disturbing criminal history, continued to work as a first aider at various public events despite facing serious charges. Faulkner, a 34-year-old from Cumnock, was involved in a series of incidents that included allegations of rape and abduction of a teenage boy. Despite being under investigation and facing trial, he appeared at numerous events across the UK, including prominent gatherings such as the Ayrshire Hospice Go Purple Walk.

Between July 2021 and September 2021, Faulkner was seen working at multiple events, even after being charged with serious offences in February of that year. His presence at these events was confirmed by reports and photographs, which show him actively participating in emergency medical roles at high-profile occasions. Notably, he was seen smiling behind a mask, raising his hands in celebration at the Ayrshire Hospice event, a detail that has caused further outrage among the public and the organizations involved.

Following his arrest, Faulkner was convicted at Glasgow High Court last month and sentenced to 12 years in prison. His conviction was based on a trial held in Edinburgh, where he was found guilty of six charges related to the alleged offences. Despite the gravity of his situation, Faulkner’s continued involvement in public events raised questions about the oversight and vetting processes of the organizations that employed him.

It has been confirmed that Faulkner was associated with Burnside Event First Aid, a now-defunct organization. The company’s then-operator, Jonathan Peffers, stated that he was unaware of Faulkner’s attendance at any events after Faulkner was charged. Peffers, who now owns Skylark Event Medical Services, explained that he was out of the country during the time Faulkner appeared at these events, including the Ayrshire Hospice Go Purple Walk.

In a statement, Skylark Event Medical Services expressed their condemnation of Faulkner’s actions and emphasized that they did not authorize his participation in any events following his charges. The company’s spokesperson clarified that Peffers and Skylark had no ongoing relationship with Faulkner and were unaware of his attendance at events in Peterborough and London in July 2021. They also highlighted that Faulkner was removed from his role as director of Burnside Event First Aid after his arrest.

The organizations involved have expressed regret and concern over the breach of trust, especially given the serious nature of Faulkner’s criminal allegations. The Ayrshire Hospice has stated that they were unaware of Faulkner’s charges at the time he appeared at their event and have since taken steps to review their vetting procedures. Meanwhile, Faulkner has been placed on the sex offenders register indefinitely, marking a stark reminder of the ongoing risks posed by individuals with such criminal histories working in public safety roles.
