A man was sentenced to eight years in prison after being convicted of three rapes involving a teenager.
Sam Jones, 32, of Preston Road in Yeovil at the time of the incidents, was sentenced at Bristol Crown Court on Friday, October 31, after a jury reached a unanimous guilty verdict following a September trial.
He was sentenced to serve concurrent terms for the three counts of rape and a charge of sexual assault by penetration, all occurring in 2022.
The court heard that Jones took his victim, who was over 16, on a overnight trip to a hotel, where he assaulted her sexually and raped her three times.
Now residing in Piddlehinton, Dorset on Church Hill, Jones was also given a long-term restraining order that prevents him from contacting the victim indefinitely.
