DUMPED BOYFRIEND CREATED FAKE SWINGER PROFILES OF EX IN REVENGE
Sam Gedd, also known by the name Sam Anderson, created numerous fake profiles on various dating and swingers platforms such as Fab Swingers, Hily, and Bumble following the end of his relationship.He used the victim’s personal information to set up these accounts, aiming to damage her reputation through character assassination, which caused her considerable emotional distress.
Law enforcement recovered a phone and SIM cards connected to these fraudulent profiles, leading to Gedd’s sentencing to three and a half years in prison.
Gedd’s criminal history includes eight convictions spanning over 30 offences, which involve harassment, sending inappropriate messages, violating restraining orders, and fabricating fake profiles.
During the trial, it was highlighted that he exhibited a pattern of similar misconduct involving numerous related incidents.
Additionally, a restraining order was issued against him.
The victim described how these events have impacted her mental health, leading to mistrust of men and a persistent fear that requires her to be accompanied in public and frequently check her home locks for security.
