BRISTOL SEX OFFENDERS SAID ZAKARIA AND OMAR JUMALE SENTENCES RAISED IN SHOCKING CHILD SEX GANG CASE

In a significant development in the ongoing investigation into a disturbing child sex exploitation ring operating within Bristol, two men involved in the heinous crimes have seen their prison sentences increased following an appeal.

Said Zakaria, aged 22, who was initially sentenced to 11 years in prison last November, has now had his sentence extended to 16 years after the Court of Appeal reviewed his case.

The decision underscores the severity of his involvement in the criminal activities and the court's stance on such grave offenses.

Similarly, Omar Jumale, aged 20, who was originally handed a two-year sentence, has had his punishment increased to three years.

Both men were part of a larger gang of nine individuals responsible for a series of sexual offenses committed against four young girls in Bristol.

Their crimes included rape, sexual assault, and involvement in prostitution, revealing a disturbing pattern of exploitation and abuse.

At Bristol Crown Court, Zakaria was convicted of serious charges including rape and engaging in sexual activity with a minor.

Jumale was found guilty of having sex with a child.

The cases against these men were brought to the Court of Appeal by the Solicitor General, Robert Buckland, who argued that the original sentences were unduly lenient given the gravity of the crimes committed.

Following the appeal hearing, the Solicitor General issued a statement condemning the actions of Zakaria and Jumale, emphasizing that they were part of a wider criminal network that targeted vulnerable young girls with complete disregard for their safety and well-being.

His comments highlighted the broader context of the case, which involved multiple offenders and a pattern of predatory behavior.

The trial revealed particularly disturbing details, including an incident where a 13-year-old girl was raped four times by three men in a Premier Inn located in Bristol city centre.

The victims, whose ages ranged from 13 to 17, were subjected to coercion and manipulation, with the perpetrators justifying their actions by claiming it was part of their
