CONVICTED (2014) | Ryan Young, born 22/04/1992, of Windermere Road, Hartlepool TS25 1QT – refused to seek vet treatment for an emaciated Yorkie’s horrific injuries. Injuries suffered by the dog, named Princess Armani, included a badly damaged eye that was falling out of its socket and a skin infection that was caused by boiling water or hot oil. No plausible explanation was given for any of the dog’s painful injuries. Yorkie Princess Armani had suffered a litany of severe injuries, the causes of which remain unexplained Career criminal Young, who has dozens of convictions, had been left to look after Princess Armani. He did not take the little dog to the vet after she suffered the eye injury supposedly in a dog attack. Princess Armani has now made a full recovery and has been rehomed. “She is a happy dog and I’m sure she will be fine from now on,” added Inspector Wilson. The tiny dog was so badly neglected, her eye was hanging out. Happily she was nursed back to health and rehomed. RSPCA inspector Clare Wilson said: “It was an awful case to deal with. I have never seen an animal with such horrendous injuries. “You’ve got to wonder how she got those injuries. It was awful somebody could let that happen to a dog.” Sentence: six months in prison suspended for 12 months with supervision; £260 costs.  Banned from owning any animal for 10 years (expires September 2024).  Mirror
