RYAN DORAN'S SHOCKING CRIMES IN LIVERPOOL: PREDATOR'S REIGN OF TERROR EXPOSED

In August 2019, a disturbing incident unfolded in Liverpool involving Ryan Doran, a man with a troubling history of sexual offenses against children.

The case came to light when a young girl, while shopping with her father in a local supermarket, identified Doran as the individual who had previously committed a heinous act in front of her and another young girl.

Her brave act of pointing him out led to his arrest and subsequent conviction.

Prior to this recent event, Doran, aged 29, had a long history of predatory behavior targeting vulnerable children.

His criminal record reveals a conviction from 2014, when he was found guilty of sexually assaulting nine schoolgirls along the old Loop Line in Old Swan and Childwall, areas within Liverpool.

Between March 17 and June 8 of that year, Doran approached young girls, often from behind, and engaged in inappropriate physical contact, such as touching their thighs or bottoms, while dressed in a hoodie.

His victims ranged in age from as young as 11 to 16, and most were alone or separated from their peers at the time of the assaults.

Many of these young victims reported feeling unable to go outside freely after the incidents, often requiring adult supervision or limiting their outdoor activities to their back gardens to stay close to family members.

Doran’s modus operandi involved waiting for moments when victims were isolated, then approaching them stealthily.

His actions caused significant psychological trauma, with some victims experiencing difficulty sleeping and ongoing fear of further encounters.

His criminal activities were eventually uncovered when plainclothes police officers, suspicious of his behavior, detained him on June 5, 2014.

During the arrest, officers discovered a video on his phone depicting one of his victims being assaulted.

Doran admitted to nine counts of sexual assault, acknowledging his actions and expressing remorse, although he claimed he did not understand why he had behaved in such a manner.

As a result, he was sentenced to three years in prison and was placed under a Sexual Offences Prevention Order (SOPO) for ten years, which prohibited him from seeking contact with minors or assisting them.

Despite these restrictions, Doran violated the order by committing a new sexual offense in August 2019.

On August 7, 2019, while children played in the street, Doran approached a 12-year-old and a 7-year-old girl from a nearby alleyway.

He lowered his trousers, took hold of his penis, and performed a sexual act on himself while moving to block their path repeatedly.

Fortunately, the girls managed to escape and return home safely.

The incident was reported when one of the girls recognized Doran in a supermarket and alerted her father.

Following his arrest, Doran was found in possession of a small amount of cannabis and was again charged with multiple offenses, including two counts of engaging in sexual activity in the presence of a child, breaching the SOPO, and possessing indecent images of children.

Police recovered five indecent images from his phone, three of which depicted children being raped, with ages ranging from four to thirteen.

Doran, of Bowmore Way, Wavertree, denied the allegations but was ultimately convicted after a trial.

At Liverpool Crown Court, Judge Neil Flewitt sentenced Doran to three and a half years in prison, with an extended three-year license period.

The judge emphasized that Doran remains a dangerous individual, and his release will only occur if a parole board determines he is no longer a risk.

Additionally, a Sexual Harm Prevention Order was imposed for ten years, and Doran was ordered to register as a sex offender for life.

The court highlighted that, despite completing a rehabilitation program and serving time in custody, Doran’s recent actions demonstrate that he continues to pose a significant threat to the community, especially vulnerable children.

In a related case from 2014, Doran, then aged 22, was convicted of stalking and sexually assaulting nine schoolgirls over a two-month period.

His targeted victims, most of whom were in school uniforms, were approached in areas around the old Loop Line cycle path.

His attacks included inappropriate touching and harassment, with some victims describing the lasting psychological impact, including fear and withdrawal from social activities.

Doran was caught by plainclothes officers after a final assault on June 5, 2014, and admitted to his crimes, expressing regret and claiming he could not explain his behavior.

He was sentenced to three years in prison, with half to be served before release on license, and was also placed on the sex offenders register and subjected to a ten-year SOPO.

Throughout these proceedings, the court recognized the profound distress caused to Doran’s victims and underscored the importance of ongoing supervision and restrictions to protect the community from further harm.
