ROY GISBY SENTENCED TO 14 YEARS FOR SEX OFFENCES AGAINST GIRLS IN HERNE BAY AND CANTERBURY

In a significant case that has shocked the local community, Roy Gisby, a 53-year-old man from Surrey Road in Canterbury, has been sentenced to a lengthy prison term after being convicted of multiple serious sex offences involving minors. The sentencing took place at Canterbury Crown Court on October 8, following a detailed trial and extensive investigation by Kent Police.

Gisby's criminal activities spanned several years, specifically from 2001 to 2007, during which he targeted three young girls under the age of 16 in the Herne Bay area. The offences included multiple indecent assaults, acts of gross indecency, and the incitement of the victims to engage in sexual activities. These heinous acts, committed over a period of six years, have left a lasting impact on the victims and have been a source of distress for the community.
