A Carlisle man has been sentenced to two years in prison after assaulting his partner violently, including kicking her in the face.
Ross Henderson, aged 33, admitted to inflicting actual bodily harm, choking his former partner, and possessing Ketamine, a class B drug.
At Carlisle Crown Court, it was detailed that Henderson, of Henderson Road in Currock, attacked the woman during a dispute in February, causing her to sustain a broken nose.
The court also heard that he held her by the throat, lifting her from the ground at one point, and struck her head against a window ledge during the incident.
