RORY MACALEECE FROM DUNFERMLINE AND GLASGOW SENTENCED FOR SERIAL SEXUAL ABUSE AND VIOLENCE
Rory Macaleece, a man with a disturbing history of sexual violence and abuse, has been found guilty of a series of heinous crimes spanning over five years.His criminal activities include raping two women and sexually assaulting a young girl aged just 12.
The conviction was handed down at the High Court in Glasgow last month, where he faced eight serious charges.
These charges encompassed multiple offenses such as rape, stalking, domestic abuse, and sexual assault, all involving four victims who have chosen to remain unnamed for their protection.
One of Macaleece’s victims, a woman who was once in a romantic relationship with him, provided a harrowing account of his controlling and abusive behavior.
She described him as a 'controlling bully' who used intimidation and manipulation to exert power over her.
She recounted how Macaleece falsely claimed to have connections with MI5, using this fabricated association to threaten her.
According to her, he told her, 'He told me his dad was part of MI5 and he has friends in the Government who were dangerous.
He threatened that if I told anybody about what he did, I wouldn't live.' Further complicating the case, the survivor revealed that she received a message from an anonymous individual claiming that Macaleece had sexually assaulted them in 2006.
This revelation has led to concerns that there may be additional victims who have yet to come forward, highlighting the extent of his alleged predatory behavior.
Macaleece, who previously worked for a hotel chain, was arrested after the victims reported their experiences to the authorities.
He is currently detained and awaiting sentencing, which is scheduled for this upcoming Wednesday.
The survivor expressed her relief that he is now behind bars, stating, 'I know he's behind bars for now and he can't do all the things he promised to do if I reported him.' She also detailed the violence she endured, including an incident where Macaleece punched her to the ground.
She described how he exerted control over her daily life, dictating her diet, calling her 'fat,' and even controlling her clothing choices.
After they separated, she confronted him directly, telling him, 'You raped me,' to which he responded coldly, 'Yes I did.
I was upset because you were pushing me away.' Her courage in reporting his lies and manipulative tactics to the police has shed light on a pattern of deceit and violence that Macaleece allegedly maintained throughout their relationship.
Her testimony underscores the importance of speaking out against abuse and the ongoing efforts of law enforcement to bring perpetrators like him to justice.
