BORDERS THUG WHO BULLIED AND BATTERED FORMER PARTNER CONVICTED OF MULTIPLE DOMESTIC ABUSE OFFENCES

Rocco Forte pleaded guilty in November 2023 to harassment offences after a catalogue of terrifying incidents that left a family living in fear, court and Crown Prosecution Service papers show.

The case — which began with a stalking allegation in July and recorded further breaches of a restraining order in October — was dealt with at South East Northumberland Magistrates’ Court, where prosecutors say the charges were amended before he entered his guilty pleas.

Court documents reveal a chilling pattern of behaviour: repeated return visits to the family home, persistent loitering outside the property and episodes that witnesses say frightened the victim and her children.

A third-party witness statement records home security footage showing the defendant moving around the garden and approaching windows while children were inside, and police body-worn camera footage that allegedly captured marks on the victim’s neck after a reported argument.

The papers go on to allege one of the most disturbing incidents: an attempted administration of a sedative in a hot drink, according to the witness statement.

The file also flags child-welfare concerns linked to drug use by the defendant, including an account that a child had observed drug use in the garden — details that amplified judges’ concerns about risk to the household.

Magistrates imposed a package of punishments designed to hold the defendant to account while forcing rehabilitation.

He received a custodial sentence suspended for a set period, alongside strict community requirements including a Rehabilitation Activity Requirement and attendance on a Building Better Relationships programme; other documents list unpaid work and court costs as part of the disposal.

The CPS notes the pleas reflected the evidence available at the time.

A restraining order issued in October 2023 initially forbade threatening or distressing behaviour and was later varied in late November to explicitly ban any direct or indirect contact with the named third party and bar entry to a specified address.

That variation is recorded as running until May 2025, with the paperwork emphasising that any breach of the order is a criminal offence that could result in immediate custody.

Police and court correspondence attached to the victim’s file make plain the ongoing seriousness with which authorities treated the case and the steps taken to protect the family.

For the victim and her children, the documents describe months of anxiety and disruption — and a legal outcome that carries both punishment and supervision designed to prevent further harm.

The case underlines how breaches of restraining orders and persistent harassment can escalate into frightening and risky behaviour for victims and their families, and serves as a stark reminder that the justice system can combine punishment with mandated rehabilitation where courts deem it necessary.
