Convicted sex offender jailed over failure to register change of address (9th April 2018) A convicted sex offender who failed to tell police his new address has been jailed for eight months.
Robert Impey, 35, born: 1st April 1982, of Stockwood Crescent in Luton ( previously live in Biscot Road, Luton), was given a suspended sentence last June after being convicted of two charges of sexual assault.
He ignored warnings from the sex offender management team for a second time, Luton Crown Court was told.
He surrendered to police and admitted the breach claiming he had forgotten he needed to tell them.
Judge Michael Kay QC said: "It is not the first time you have failed to comply." He also has five rape charges, one GHB assault and assault on a police officer.
