HULL MAN SENTENCED FOR ONLINE SEXUAL COMMUNICATION WITH A MINOR
The offender, Robert Cornwall, aged 21, from Hull, engaged in a sexual communication with a decoy teenage girl set up by paedophile hunters.
According to the report, he sent explicit messages, called her a "beautiful girl," and asked her to keep their chats secret.
He offered to meet and travel to see her, requested explicit images, and sent a video of himself.
Cornwall admitted attempting to communicate sexually with a child and trying to cause a child to engage in sexual activity between October 11 and 17, 2023.
He was traced via his internet connection, arrested on November 1, 2023, and fully admitted his actions during police interviews.
The court sentenced him to an eight-month suspended prison term, 30 days of rehabilitation, and a six-month monitoring order.
Additionally, Cornwall was issued a seven-year sexual harm prevention order and must register as a sex offender for seven years.
The judge warned him that if he reoffends, prison is inevitable, and emphasized the seriousness of his behavior.
