FIFE MAN JAILED FOR ASSAULT AND REVENGE PORN AFTER DOMESTIC ROW
On Christmas Day in Dunfermline, Robbie Whyte, aged 21 and residing in Navitie Park, committed a domestic assault by kicking his then partner, causing her injury.
The Depute fiscal Amy Robertson stated during the court proceedings that during a row on Christmas Day, Whyte had kicked his partner, which made her scream in pain.
He also sent her abusive messages, including calls of a derogatory nature and threats such as “Slut.
I’m going to make your life a misery.” Furthermore, Whyte posted a nude photo of his former partner on social media, which she had previously sent him during their relationship.
His actions only came to light when she started receiving messages from her friends about the image he had posted.
He later disclosed via social media a photograph of his ex in an intimate situation.
The article notes that Whyte admitted to three offences prior to sentencing.
His solicitor indicated that he was under the influence of alcohol and drugs when he committed the act of posting the nude image, which he regrets.
The court, represented by Sheriff Susan Duff, imposed a community payback order requiring 180 hours of unpaid work, two years of supervision, and participation in the Caledonia Programme for domestic offenders.
