A man from Fife, Ricky Smith, has been jailed after subjecting a woman to nearly ten years of harassment and abuse.

He twice threatened her life by choking her and admitted to repeatedly touching her intimate areas to check if she was engaged in sexual activity.

Smith also confessed to causing her injuries on two separate occasions through throttling.

The court heard the full extent of his misconduct during the proceedings.
