A Dewsbury man assaulted his wife after accusing her of having an affair.

Richard Brook, of Leeds Road, pleaded guilty to the attack on March 26.

Kirklees Magistrates’ Court heard that both Brook and his wife Lyndsay had been drinking and an argument started.

Brook pushed her backwards, causing her to fall and hit her head on the bedroom door.

District Judge Maggie McCormack ordered a full report before sentencing the 46-year-old.

This will take place on April 19 and Brook was banned from contacting his wife.
