STANSTED AIRPORT FLASHER SENTENCED FOR INDECENT EXPOSURE
A MAN who exposed himself at Stansted Airport has been placed on the sex offenders’ register.
Hardy Manaf, 44, was seen throwing items at road signs in June last year before he flashed occupants of a car leaving the airport car park.
He was arrested last month after he failed to appear in court and was remanded in custody.
Appearing before Colchester Magistrates’ Court last Monday, Manaf – of Corporation Street, Dewsbury, West Yorkshire – was ordered to sign the sex offenders’ register after he admitted one charge of indecent exposure.
He was also fined £90, ordered to pay more than £200 in costs, and must complete a rehabilitation requirement.
Sergeant Mark Ghosh, who works for Essex Police at Stansted Airport, said: “This outcome sends a clear message: sexual offending will not be tolerated.
“The court’s decision to place him on the sex offenders' register ensures he is closely monitored in the future and subject to strict legal requirements designed to protect the public.
“We hope this provides reassurance that we will continue to act decisively against those who pose a risk to the community.”
