RICCARDO BENCI FROM DARLINGTON JAILED FOR CHILD PORNOGRAPHY IN TEESSIDE

In a case that has sent shockwaves through the local community, Dr. Riccardo Benci, a general practitioner based in Newton Aycliffe, was sentenced to 15 months in prison after explicit child pornography was discovered on his personal computer. The investigation was triggered when Benci took his computer to a repair shop, where technicians uncovered disturbing images that included sado-masochistic depictions of young boys.

Dr. Benci, aged 43 and residing on Staindrop Road in Darlington, faced serious legal repercussions following the discovery. In December 2004, he pleaded guilty to 19 charges of creating indecent images of children, a crime that has profound implications for his professional and personal life.
