COUNTY DURHAM PAEDOPHILE JAILED FOR GROOMING AND RAPING SCHOOLGIRL
A man from County Durham who sexually abused a schoolgirl after grooming her has been sentenced to prison.
Reggie Cannon, then 19, started communicating with the 14-year-old girl via Instagram.
The two met in a park, where Cannon committed rape and sexual assault against her.
Now aged 24, Cannon was detained and pleaded guilty to charges including rape, sexual assault, and grooming.
Additionally, he failed to update his address as required under sex offender notification laws.
He received a prison term of six and a half years, along with a ten-year sexual harm prevention order, a ten-year restraining order, and lifetime registration on the sex offenders' register.
