RAIMUNDO PINTO BANNED FROM WORCESTER COURT ORDER BREAKS AND CANNOT DO UNPAID WORK DUE TO HEALTH ISSUES

A man with a criminal record for sexual offenses, Raimundo Pinto, has recently appeared in court in Worcester to face charges related to violations of a court-imposed order.

Pinto, aged 47 and residing on Brewery Walk in Worcester, was found guilty of breaching a sexual offences prevention order (SOPO) on two separate occasions, leading to a court appearance that highlighted ongoing issues with compliance and the challenges posed by his health condition.

His first breach was linked to an incident on October 24 of the previous year, which he admitted to during a hearing.

The court had previously issued the SOPO on February 2, 2022, to restrict his online activities and prevent access to certain digital tools.

Despite this, Pinto was found to have downloaded a Virtual Private Network (VPN) called Fox Speed onto his mobile phone, an action he acknowledged was done without reasonable excuse.

This breach was considered a violation of the restrictions set by the order.

In addition, Pinto also admitted to downloading another VPN, Opera Browser, onto his Lenovo laptop on the same date, again without a valid reason, which was also prohibited under the terms of his sexual offences prevention order issued on February 14, 2022.

These actions demonstrated a clear disregard for the restrictions imposed by the court, which aim to prevent reoffending and protect the public.

During the hearing at Worcester Magistrates Court on Friday, July 5, Pinto pleaded guilty to both breaches.

The court responded by imposing a community order that will remain in effect until July 4, 2026.

As part of this order, Pinto is required to participate in rehabilitation activities, which are scheduled to last up to 40 days.

However, due to ongoing health issues, he was deemed 'unsuitable for unpaid work,' meaning he will not be required to perform community service or similar tasks as part of his sentence.

These legal proceedings underscore the ongoing challenges faced by individuals under court restrictions, especially when health concerns complicate compliance.

Pinto’s case continues to serve as a reminder of the importance of adhering to court orders designed to safeguard the community from potential harm.
