At Bolton Crown Court, Rafal Kryska, 47, of Sherwood Drive in Norley, was given a sentence after admitting to multiple offences.
He had uploaded over 6,000 videos showing minors being exploited, with 1,656 classified as the most serious category A, 836 as category B, and 3,851 as category C.
The offences also included five images considered 'extreme porn,' involving both humans and animals.
The incidents occurred between November 13, 2023, and January 29, 2024.
Earlier this year, Kryska also admitted to breaching a sexual harm prevention order twice by taking photographs of someone under 18 and not informing the police about a device with internet access.
He was sentenced to 16 months in prison, with the term suspended for two years.
His sentence includes requirements to undertake a 26-day program, engage in 25 days of rehabilitative activities, and undergo mental health treatment.
Additionally, restrictions include a ban on international travel, the enforcement of a sexual harm prevention order, and requirements to comply with notification regulations.
