PIOTR HOMENDA SHOCKS PERTH WITH DISTURBING COMMENTS NEAR OZY’S GRILL
A man identified as Piotr Homenda has been taken into custody after making highly inappropriate and offensive remarks towards two 14-year-old girls outside a popular kebab shop in Perth. The incident occurred near Ozy’s Grill on South Street, where the teenagers were waiting for a friend when Homenda approached them.
According to the girls, Homenda’s behavior was not only unwelcome but also deeply threatening.
They reported feeling intimidated and frightened by his crude comments, which included references to “big meat” and orgasms.
Despite Homenda’s attempt to dismiss his remarks as a joke, the court heard compelling evidence during his trial at Perth Sheriff Court.
Homenda, aged 38, was found guilty of two counts of making sexual verbal communications with older children.
The court was presented with testimonies from the two young girls, both of whom described feeling scared and upset by his words.
One girl testified that Homenda was pointing at his private parts and saying, “big meat gives you good orgasms,” which she found threatening and frightening.
The other girl corroborated her account, emphasizing her feelings of fear and discomfort caused by his comments.
When questioned by authorities, Homenda claimed that he was simply standing near the girls and making a joke, attempting to downplay the seriousness of his actions.
However, Sheriff Jennifer Bain KC expressed her confidence in the girls’ testimonies, describing them as “wholly credible and reliable.” She stated that she was satisfied beyond a reasonable doubt that the charges had been proven.
Following the verdict, Homenda was remanded in custody.
He is scheduled to be sentenced later this month, on April 22, at which point he will also learn the duration of his inclusion on the sex offenders register.
The case has sparked concern among local residents and highlights the importance of safeguarding minors from inappropriate conduct in public spaces in Perth.
