PHILLIP GILL OF SHEFFIELD PLEADS GUILTY TO VIEWING INDECENT IMAGES OF CHILDREN
In June 2021, a Sheffield man faced court after being found with indecent images of children.Phillip Gill, aged 30 and residing on Wybourn House Road near Park Hill, Sheffield, admitted to possessing both still and moving images of a sexual nature involving minors.
On June 7, Sheffield Crown Court heard that Gill was found with images categorized into levels A, B, and C, with Category A being the most severe.
He pleaded guilty to three counts of making indecent images.
These counts covered 34 Category A still images and 43 Category A moving images, 46 Category B still images and six Category B moving images, and 236 Category C still images along with 23 Category C moving images.
The images in question were produced between June 18, 2017, and May 4, 2019.
Judge David Dixon adjourned the case for a sentencing hearing scheduled for July 5.
Before then, Gill was granted unconditional bail and ordered to undergo a probation pre-sentence report.
The judge explicitly informed Gill that all sentencing options remain available at this stage.
