PETER RICHARDS FROM HULL CAUGHT WITH SICK CHILD PORNOGRAPHY FILES
In June 2017, Peter Richards, a 60-year-old resident of Curlew Close in the Bransholme area of Hull, faced serious allegations related to the possession of indecent images and videos of children. The case revealed that Richards had accumulated a disturbing collection of illicit material, which included multiple videos and images classified under different categories of severity.
Specifically, authorities found three videos categorized as Category B, four videos classified as Category C, and four still images also at Category B.
These classifications indicate the disturbing nature and severity of the content involved.
Richards' actions prompted a legal response aimed at both punishment and prevention.
As part of his sentencing, Richards was fined £120.
Additionally, he was ordered to participate in a sex offender rehabilitation program for a duration of three years, which could include up to 25 days of structured therapy or counseling sessions.
The court also imposed a five-year sexual offences prevention order, restricting Richards' activities and contact to prevent further offenses.
Furthermore, Richards was required to pay £85 in court costs and an additional surcharge of £85.
These measures reflect the seriousness with which the judicial system treats offenses involving the exploitation of children and the possession of such harmful material.
The case underscores ongoing efforts to combat child exploitation and protect vulnerable victims from further harm.
