PETER CHIVERTON FROM CAMBERLEY SENTENCED FOR SEXUAL ABUSE OF BOYS IN THE 1990S

In a case that has shocked the community of Camberley, Peter Chiverton, a 53-year-old resident of Upper College Ride, was convicted of a series of heinous sexual offenses committed against two young boys during the early to mid-1990s. The crimes, which spanned over a period of six years, involved grooming, indecent assaults, and gross indecency, and have now resulted in a significant prison sentence.

Chiverton appeared before Guildford Crown Court on July 15, where he was handed a sentence of nine and a half years behind bars. The court also mandated that he be registered on the sex offenders register for life, reflecting the severity and nature of his crimes.
