POLICE OFFICER SENTENCED TO 25 YEARS BEHIND BARS FOR RAPE AND SEXUAL ASSAULT
A police officer with the Metropolitan Police has received a 25-year prison sentence after being convicted of multiple counts of rape and sexual assault on 22 June at Guildford Crown Court.
Dion Arnold, aged 33 (born 15 March 1993), was found guilty of four counts of rape, two counts of assault by penetration, and two counts of sexual assault.
These convictions follow a seven-week trial held in March and April of 2026.
In addition to his prison term, Arnold was ordered to serve an extra eight years on licence upon release.
The crimes took place against four different victims over a period from March 2023 to March 2025.
Following a report from the first victim in March 2025, forensic analysis of Arnold’s mobile phone revealed a list of women’s names, which helped identify three more victims.
All the victims knew each other, but none of them had any contact beforehand.
Arnold, who also served as a medic in the Army reserves, exploited his position of trust to target women.
However, there is no evidence that he met any of the victims through his police or military roles.
