PETER BREWER FROM PENRYN AND PLYMOUTH SENTENCED TO TEN YEARS FOR HISTORIC RAPE CASES

In a significant development in the fight against sexual offenses, Peter Brewer, a man originally from Penryn and now residing in Plymouth, has been sentenced to a decade behind bars for a series of heinous crimes involving both a woman in her late 20s and a teenage girl. Devon and Cornwall Police expressed their satisfaction with the outcome of the case, emphasizing the importance of justice for the victims. The court found him guilty of three counts of rape, with the incidents dating back to between 2002 and 2011.

The trial concluded on a Monday, during which Brewer was sentenced to serve ten years for two of the rape charges and an additional seven years for the third, with all sentences to run concurrently. This means that he will serve the combined sentence in a single period of incarceration. Furthermore, Brewer will be required to remain on the sexual offenders register for the rest of his life, a measure designed to monitor and prevent further offenses.
