A Penryn man has been jailed for ten years for raping a woman and a teenage girl.
Devon and Cornwall Police have welcomed the conviction and sentencing of Peter Brewer formerly of Burnthouse. (last known address – Glasgow)
Peter Brewer was convicted by a jury this afternoon, (Monday), of two charges relating to a woman in her late 20’s and one of the rape of a 14-year-old girl, between 2002 and 2011.
The 32-year-old was found guilty of three counts of rape following a trial at Truro Crown Court.
On Monday he was setenced to ten years in jail for two counts of rape and seven years for another count of rape, which will run concurrently.
Brewer will also remain on the sexual offenders register for the rest of his life.
The offences relate to historic sexual abuse in Penryn over a number of years – representing offending from 2002 until 2011.
An investigation began after two victims came forward, and that led officers to identify other offences with other individuals.
