Former East Kilbride man Paul Watt, of 29 Wilton Road, Carluke, appeared at Hamilton Sheriff Court on Friday.
He admitted that on September 13 last year at 74 Cypress Crescent he conducted himself in a disorderly manner, shouted, swore, placed a woman in a state of fear and alarm and committed a breach of the peace.
The 23-year-old also admitted a second charge, namely that on the same day and location he assaulted his victim by seizing her by the throat and pushing her against a wall, all to her injury.
Watt, who committed both offences while on bail, had his sentence deferred until August 1.
